Oldies but Goodies...

Some shots of Anna when she was a baby...mainly to show how much I think they look alike! Wow how time flys!

Locks of Love

So got my hair chopped, about 11 inches to be exact and I already put pictures up on Facebook, but here are some for those of you who do not have Facebook. This event took place Saturday morning...after I woke up and just randomly decided to do it!

The Before

The Hair that I mailed yesterday to Locks of Love

The First After shot...

Well here is the funny part...so I did not like this first cut and the guy who did it was a little unsure and very shakey, did not evoke much confidence! So I called yesterday and they took me in again, for FREE, and fixed it! Now this second guy (both men, how funny is that?), was amazing. He knew what he was doing and I might have myself a person that I can go to all the time! Finally!! I've been searching for years...so here's some shots of the 2nd cut in less than a week!

Let's Clairify...

I never said that I did not recommend "The Dark Knight", I simply said I couldn't cause it was so, excuse the pun, DARK! I did enjoy the movie, for the most part. However I would have to be honest and say that the last one, "Batman Begins" was much better in my books! But I'll take Christian Bale however he comes! :) Although he is starring in the new Terminator movies and I might have to pass on that...not really a fan of those. Does that help Elizabeth? Heath Ledger gave an incredibly memorable performance!

Two very important issues....

First off is the issue of this blog...I just checked and see that the whole 5 months that I have had this thing I have had 100 'views'! Now that is just plain old pathetic! I mail this sucker out to a ton of you...and only 100 views! I feel ignored! And...comments...I need comments! Do I sound pathetic enough?

Second issue is the movie I went to see last night. I went to the 10 PM showing of 'Dark Knight'. If you know me, you know I am a HUGE Christian Bale fan. And I enjoy the movies. 'Dark Knight' was VERY, VERY DARK! It was action packed, and creepy all at the same time. So I can't say I would recommend it. I like the last one a whole lot better. And the late Heath Ledger was indeed very good at his part, weird, insane, creepy, and more creepy! Don't know that that is how I would want my last role to be played out. Pretty sad memory to leave the world with!
And just for fun here was my sleep schedule because of the movie. Got home at 1 AM, Micah woke me up at 2:30 to eat, at 5:30 with a poopy diaper, and at 6:30 to party. Soooo, let's see. I got about four actual hours of sleep. I either really like the movies, or I am a serious glutton for punishment!

So there ya have it. Those are my two issues for today! Later.

Today - the day of Recovery!

So we made to KY and back alive and well. Both kids did so good and have recovered nicely. They seem to be doing better than I am! The trip was hard, but good. It was wonderful to see family, and the funeral was amazing. It was so good to be apart of celebrating someone's life, someone who loved Jesus and all those around him! Grandpa gave us all something to strive for! So here's a bunch of pix from the last week.
And side note. Today was Micah's 1 month appointment with the Dr. (even though he'll be 5 weeks tomorrow). He was 11lbs. 8oz, and 23 inches long. 90th percentile on everything! He had gained 2lbs. 2oz. in three weeks!!! He's a growing boy!! And he's healthy and doing well!!

Chillin at home...

Grandpa Stoneking is with Jesus

So it's been quite the day...I recieved a call this morning that my Grandpa was being taken to the Emergency Room in Winchester, KY because he was 'non-responsive'. About three hours later they called to let me know he had passed. My Mom and Dad just arrived back in Congo yesterday, and after many tears today, they are buying their tickets to head back to KY. The funeral will be in Nicholasville, KY on Saturday July 12th, 2008.
This is the first time death has hit me in such a rough way. My whole 29 years I have been close to my Grandpa...I don't know how to process death. Just pray for us as we pack up with a newborn and make the 10 hour trek to KY. Pray for my Mom and Dad as they fly back across the ocean. And pray for my Grandma...Mom is going to tell her when she sees her this weekend. Pray for all of us.
Hopefully soon I can post a blog with more light hearted news...and pictures.
Micah and Anna continue to bless us and keep us on our toes. And CONGRATS to Adam and Mindy on their little boy, Noah!!!!!!!!!! The sorrow of death makes us appreciate even more the birth of new life!!!!
