Learning Curve

Had a chance today to go and hang with a new friend. Her name is Angela, she been taking pictures for over 30 years, and she is stinking good at it! She's been patient enough to allow me to ask her a million and one questions, and hasn't run in the other direction! :)
She's given me lots of good pointers, and today the awesome chance to go hang for awhile at her studio and take some shots of my kiddos! Here are some of my pics.

Anna and Ava

So I've been putting up pictures...but often not 'sharing' much in words. I guess you could say I'm in a slump...so enjoy these pics and I'll try to write something at the end.

Just wanted to share those cute pics of Anna and her best little pal Ava...they are cute stuff.
OK...so what's new in my life.
Well yesterday I laid in bed ALL day sick with what we can only assume was 'the flu'. Aching, nausea, back pain, cramps, fever, chills...you get the idea. And off the background all I could hear was my sweet husband caring for our two kiddos. I heard spurts of tears, laughter, running, jumping...then I'd fade off into another sleeping stupor. Needless to say it was not a good day for me. Although I think Anna and Micah were in heaven...a whole day with Daddy! And Daddy is soooooo fun!!!
Ummm...other news...well. Franco is working hard. Church, construction job, and fulltime school...plus taking care of me and the kiddos. He preached this last Sunday..oh yeah...I have a pictures. Hold on!


Anna has been shocking us each day with new 'big girl' things. Doing so many things on her own. She's really into reading, and long books too, not the little baby ones with two words...no people, loooooonnnnngggg ones! And shockingly, though she often picks bad times (ie. when Micah is getting his diaper changed, or climbing up Mommy's tredmill) I love reading to her, as does her Dad. She is really verbal, which most of you know, and comes up with these phrases that have Franco and I doubled over laughing. She's pure joy and pure laughter.

Micah is a bulldozer...although, the cutest one I've ever seen!! He moves like a mad man, gets into everything, and if you leave a door open for a fraction of a second he 'sprints' for it...trying so desperately to escape to whatever adventures lie beyond! And let me tell you a crawl-sprint is funny stuff to watch. He smiles all day, plays hard, and eats anything you put in front of him. My man will down asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli, greenbeans, zuchini, carrots...you get the idea...but his favorite is yogurt! He loves his yogurt. He's been 'cruising' a lot on the couches, and has tried to stand once or twice on his own. OH! And no one told me that Sons get hurt a lot more!! Cuts, bumps, bruises, scratches, knicks...I feel so bad for the little guy! But he just keeps dozing onward!!! He's pure energy and smiles. (ps. he has 4 teeth, and is weighing at 25 1/2lbs.)

Me...well the last month or two have been a little rough. Coming off of the holidays I kind of hit a 'low'. I had started taking anti-depressants in September after going through what we thought was PPD. And I think that was partially true. Adjusting to life with TWO has been harder then expected. More to do with where we are in life I think. Anyhoo...after being on the drugs for a few months it feels like things have gotten worse rather then better. I've had bouts of insomnia, weight gain, loss of energy, and have even felt rather anti-social!!! That's when I knew something was not right! :)
So today I had my IUD removed. Come to find out...the side affects are as follows...."weight gain, loss of sleep, spiked blood sugar, depression or mood swings, etc, etc...." Can you see why I might be a little sad with my IUD? Now at the risk of turning this into the longest post ever let's just end with this...I think taking out the IUD will help, however I think I have a boat load of personal things that need to be dealt with too....and on the journey goes. I'll keep ya posted!!

Flat Sarah Came to Visit

Flat Sarah, a friend of my niece, Rachel, came to visit us here in Hatfield. So I thought I'd honor her by putting her up on my blog. :)

More Pics from my Parent's visit...

Here's some more cute shots from my parent's visit. It was really good to have them here with us for 5 whole days. I felt bad for them, cause we only have two bedrooms, so they got the joy of sleeping with Micah. Who thought it would be fun to wake up at 5, 5:30, and 6 AM for no reason at all.
Anyway....

Mom and Dad were amazing. They played with my kids for 5 days, changed diapers, fed Micah...and I got to rest, run to Target, go on a date with my husband, and enjoy a surprise party. It was a good week. Makes us miss them all the more!!!
